In the smelting process of steel products, factors such as smelting time, insulation time, and overheating time often lead to an increase in the smelting loss of carbon elements in the molten iron, resulting in a decrease in the carbon content in the molten iron, and causing the carbon content in the molten iron to not reach the theoretical value expected for refining. The carbon containing substances added to supplement the carbon content burned during the steel smelting process are called carburizers.
