Japan’s ferrosilicon imports increased by 22.85% month-on-month in October.

According to Japanese customs data, Japan’s imports of ferrosilicon with a silicon content greater than 55% in October 2025 totaled 33,634.417 tons, an increase of 6,256.46 tons from September, representing a month-on-month increase of 22.85%. Compared to the same period last year, imports decreased by 2,692.54 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.41%. From January to October 2025, Japan’s cumulative imports totaled 291,200 tons, an increase of 200 tons compared to the same period last year, representing a growth rate of 0.07%.
